    JESUS' LETTER

My Dear Child:

My love, I love you (John 15:9). I have called you by your name, you are mine (Isaiah 43:1). Before I formed you, I knew you. And before you were born, I consecrated you (Jeremiah 1:5). You did not choose me, I chose you (John 15:16). Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers (III John 2).

Because you are precious to me, and honored, I love you (Isaiah 43:4). I have loved you with an everlasting love and I will continue my Constant love (Jeremiah 31:3). How can I abandon you? My love for you is too strong (Hosea 11:8).
I love you so much that I hung on the cross at Calvary. I died for you,
and if you believe in Me, you will have everlasting life (John 3:16).
Can a woman forget her own baby and not love the child she bore? Yet,
even should she forget, I will never forget you. I cannot forget you. I
will hold you in the palm of my hands (Isaiah 49:15-16). For I, the Lord your God, am holding you by the right hand (Isaiah 41:13). I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD (Matthew 28:20).

Do not let your heart be troubled, trust in me (John 14:1). I will help you (Isaiah 41:14).
When you pass through the deep waters, I will be with you. Your
troubles will not overwhelm you. The hard trials that will come will
not hurt you. (Isaiah 43:2).
When you walk through the valley of the shadows of death, do not be
afraid because I am with you. My rod and my staff will comfort you. I
will lead you in the path of righteousness (Psalm 23).

I will give you peace in the midst of a storm, not as the world giveth.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). Peace I give which will pass all understanding and shall keep your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). When you lie down, do not be afraid. Your sleep shall be sweet (Proverbs 3:24). My love for you will keep your dwelling safe (Psalm 4:8).

Beloved, my eyes are upon you and I will give you hope, for I am merciful (Psalm 33:18). You will have access to my grace and rejoice in hope while sharing in the glory of my Father (Romans 5:2). I will give you joy and peace. The mountains and hills will sing, and the trees will clasp their hands before you (Isaiah 55:12). You may have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice and no one will take your joy from you (John 16:22).

Do not worry (Luke 12:9). Even the hairs of your head have all been counted, so there is no need to be afraid of anything (Matthew 10:30). The mountains may depart and the hills will be shaken, but my steadfast love for you will never end (Isaiah 54:10). Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).

Come, my love. Come, I will lead you into solitude and there I will
speak tenderly to your heart. I will be true and faithful. I will show
you constant love and make you mine forever. I will keep my promise,
and you will really know me then as never before. I am who I am (Exodus 3:14). I am the Lord your God (Hosea 13:4).

Your Faithful Friend,

Jesus

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam.

He called his parents from San Francisco. "Mom and Dad, I'm coming
home, but I've got a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring
with me."

"Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him."

"There's something you should know," the son continued. "He was hurt
pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mine and lost an arm
and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with
us."

"I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live."

"No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us."

"Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone
with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own
lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our
lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy.
He'll find a way to live on his own."

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him.

A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco
police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were
told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents
flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the
body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also
discovered something they didn't know: their son had only one arm and
one leg.

A father is a person who is forced to endure childbirth without an anesthetic.

He growls when he feels good and laughs very loud when he is scared half-to-death.

A father never feels entirely worthy of the worship in a child's eyes.

He is never quite the hero his daughter thinks. Never quite the man his
son believes him to be. And this worries him sometimes. (So he works
too hard to try to smooth the rough places in the road of those of his
own who will follow him.)

A father is a person who goes to war sometimes ... and would
run the other way except that war is part of an important job in his
life (which is making the world better for his child than it has been
for him).

Fathers grow older faster than other people, because they, in
other wars, have to stand at the train station and wave goodbye to the
uniform that climbs on board.

And, while mothers cry where it shows, fathers stand and beam ... outside ... and die inside.

Fathers are men who give daughters away to other men who aren't
nearly good enough, so that they can have children that are smarter
than anybody's.

Fathers fight dragons almost daily. They hurry away from the
breakfast table off to the arena, which is sometimes called an office
or a workshop. There they tackle the dragon with three heads:
Weariness, Works, and Monotony. And they never quite win the fight, but
they never give up.

Knights in shining armor; fathers in shiny trousers. There's little difference as they march away each workday.

A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and
four-year old grandson. The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was
blurred, and his step faltered.

The family ate together at the table. But the elderly
grandfather's shaky hands and failing sight made eating difficult. Peas
rolled off his spoon onto the floor. When he grasped the glass, milk
spilled on the tablecloth.

The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess.
"We must do something about Grandfather," said the son. I've had enough
of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor.

So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner.
There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed
dinner. Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served
in a wooden bowl.

When the family glanced in Grandfather's direction, sometime
he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone. Still, the only words the
couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or
spilled food.

The four-year-old watched it all in silence. One evening
before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on
the floor. He asked the child sweetly, "What are you making?" Just as
sweetly, the boy responded, "Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and
Mama to eat your food in when I grow up." The four-year-old smiled and
went back to work.

The words so struck the parents so that they were speechless.
Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was
spoken, both knew what must be done.

That evening the husband took Grandfather's hand and gently
led him back to the family table. For the remainder of his days he ate
every meal with the family. And for some reason, neither husband nor
wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled,
or the tablecloth soiled.

2000 years ago there was a Man born contrary to the laws of nature.

This Man was reared in obscurity. Earthly riches were not important to Him.

He did not travel extensively, only once did He cross the boundary of
the country in which He lived and that was during His exile in
childhood to Egypt.

In infancy He startled a king; in childhood He amazed Jewish leaders;
in manhood He ruled the course of nature, walking upon the billows as
if pavement. He hushed the sea to sleep.

He healed multitudes without medicine and made no charge for His
service. He never wrote a book, and yet all the libraries of the
country could not hold the books that have been written about Him. He
never wrote a song, and yet He has furnished the theme for more songs
than all the songwriters combined.

He never founded a college, but all the schools put together cannot boast of having as many students.

He never practiced psychiatry and yet He has healed more broken hearts than all the doctors far and near.

Names of great scientists, philosophers, and theologians have
come and gone; but the name of this Man abounds more and more. Herod
the Great could not destroy Him and the grave could not hold Him. His
name stands highest of heavenly glory, acknowledged by angels and
feared by devils.

"For the life of the flesh is in the blood and I have given it to you
upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood
that maketh an atonement for the soul" as the living personal Christ,
the Messiah and Saviour, the Redeemer of Man. Here is God's appointed
sacrifice for sins.

Long ago God's divine principle was established, that "without shedding of blood there is no remission."

Today, God, in wondrous love tells us, "The blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanseth us from all sin"

Jesus is the only one that has fulfilled all of the scriptures
regarding Mmessiah's birth, ministry, death and resurrection. There are
over 300 prophetic scriptures in the Old Testament concerning Messiah's
incarnation. Jesus fulfilled them all.

Great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh in order that He might die for you.

He came to earth but was rejected by the people as their King
at that time. He is going to come to this earth again and then He will
be accepted as not only King of the Jews ~ but as King of Kings and
Lord of Lords.

Time here on earth is short; eternity is forever. Soon Jesus
will return to claim His believers ~ I know I will be one of them
because I said a simple prayer from my heart.

The Bible says when you ask for forgiveness and express your knowledge that Jesus is your Saviour, the angels rejoice.

About ten years ago, a young and very successful executive named Josh
was traveling down a Chicago neighborhood street. He was going a bit
too fast in his sleek, black, 12 cylinder Jaguar XKE, which was only
two months old.

He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars
and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no
child darted out, but a brick sailed out and-WHUMP! -- it smashed into
the Jag's shiny black side door! SCREECH...!!!! Brakes slammed! Gears
ground into reverse, and tires madly spun the Jaguar back to the spot
from where the brick had been thrown.

Josh jumped out of the car, grabbed the kid and pushed him up
against a parked car. He shouted at the kid, "What was that all about
and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing?!" Building up a head
of steam, he went on. "That's my new Jag, that brick you threw is gonna
cost you a lot of money. Why did you throw it?"

"Please, mister, please...I'm sorry! I didn't know what else
to do!" Pleaded the youngster. "I threw the brick because no one else
would stop!"

Tears were dripping down the boy's chin as he pointed around
the parked car. "It's my brother, mister," he said. "He rolled off the
curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up." Sobbing,
the boy asked the executive, "Would you please help me get him back
into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."

Moved beyond words, the young executive tried desperately to
swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. Straining, he lifted
the young man back into the wheelchair and took out his handkerchief
and wiped the scrapes and cuts, checking to see that everything was
going to be OK. He then watched the younger brother push him down the
sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long walk back to the sleek, black, shining,
12-cylinder Jaguar XKE -- a long and slow walk. Josh never did fix the
side door of his Jaguar. He kept the dent to remind him not to go
through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at him to get
his attention. Some bricks are softer than others. Feel for the bricks
of life coming at to you.

A store owner was tacking a sign above his door that read "Puppies for Sale."

The signs have a way of attracting children. Soon a little boy appeared
at the sign and asked, "How much are you gonna sell those puppies for?"

The store owner replied, "Anywhere from $30 to $50."

The little boy reached into his pocket and pulled out some change. "I have $2.37. Can I look at them?"

The store owner smiled and whistled. Out of the kennel came his
dog named Lady, running down the aisle of his store followed by five
little puppies.

One puppy was lagging considerably behind. Immediately the
little boy singled out the lagging, limping puppy. He asked, "What's
wrong with that little dog?"

The man explained that when the puppy was born, the vet said
that this puppy had a bad hip socket and would limp for the rest of his
life.

The little boy got really excited and said, "That's the puppy I want to buy!"

The man replied "No, you don't want to buy that little dog. If you really want him, I'll give him to you."

The little boy got upset. He looked straight into the man's
eyes and said, "I don't want you to give him to me. He is worth every
bit as much as the other dogs and I'll pay the full price. In fact, I
will give you $2.37 now and 50 cents every month until I have him paid
for." The man countered, "You really don't want to buy this puppy, son.
He is never gonna be able to run, jump and play like other puppies."

The little boy reached down and rolled up his pant leg to reveal a
badly twisted, crippled left leg supported by a big metal brace. He
looked up at the man and said, "Well, I don't run so well myself and
the little puppy will need someone who understands."
The man was now biting his bottom lip. Tears welled up in his eyes
...He smiled and said, "Son, I hope and pray that each and every one of
these puppies will have an owner such as you." In life, it doesn't
matter who you are, but whether someone appreciated you for what you
are, accepts you and loves you unconditionally.

A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks away.

Many years ago when sailing vessels crossed the sea, one left an
American port for Liverpool. All went well for a few days and there was
every prospect of a pleasant voyage, when a storm broke in fury about
the little craft, tossing it upon the waves until it seemed all hope of
weathering the tempest must be abandoned.

The captain's ceaseless vigil and the faithful crew's efforts
kept them afloat until the storm abated, but one morning the dreadful
news was passed from one to another in startled whispers, "The ship has
sprung a leak, and is sinking!"

Fear seized them; a chill threaded each vein and sinew at the
thought of death in the depths of the sea. Vainly they searched the
horizon for some glimpse of a friendly sail, and finally they appealed
to the captain for some word of hope.

Said he: "The water seems to be slowly but surely gaining in spite of
all we can do. There is one way to save us, but I hesitate about
suggesting it, or advising it," and with such words of comfort as he
could express, he dismissed.

In a few hours the captain commanded the boatswain: "Pipe all hands
aft," and in response to the shrill shriek of the whistle the sailors
gathered. The passengers, hearing a great commotion, crowded around in
breathless anxiety.

"As you know," said the captain, "our ship is leaking; our
pumps are unable to keep ahead of the rush of water; and our lives are
in danger. The leak seems not large, possibly only a few inches wide,
as wide as a man's arm."

He stopped and repeated it slowly, "As wide as a man's arm,"
and as he said it he thrust his arm and hand forward, and waited a
moment, but it seemed like years before he spoke again.

"Some one of you must go down into the hold, plunge into the
water, and thrust his arm and shoulder into the leak; that one will
lose his life, but will save the rest of us. Who will volunteer?"

The sun shone brightly upon the deck through a rift in the clouds as
one stepped out of the ranks of seamen and looked into the eyes of the
captain.

"I'll go, sir," he said, and a smile spread over his face as he
realized that he had pronounced his own death sentence; but there was
no trace of fear on his countenance.

"You!" cried the captain, as with blanched face he threw out both hands and leaned forward.

And the sailor answered, "Yes."

Face to face they stood, the elder and the younger, father and
son. Tears filled the captain's eyes and, all unashamed, he permitted
them to roll down his cheeks. He straightened up, removed his cap, and
as he leaned over and kissed the youth on the forehead, he said: "My
son, my son! Go, and God be with you."

They watched the lad as he plunged into the deep water in the hold.
Hours later, when safe at port, they found him with his arm thrust
through the hold in the vessel's side.

So it must have been in the courts of glory when the Son of God offered to give Himself for lost mankind.

Trapped in a dark sewer, the six little mallard ducklings found themselves cut off and facing an uncertain future.
Their only hope of seeing daylight again lay with their mother - who
they had last seen more than a mile away as they were sucked into a
drain.
Rescue seemed impossible. Yet somehow the mother duck had
managed to follow her offspring for more than a mile, apparently
listening to their cheeps of distress at manhole covers as they were
swept along below ground.
Her incredible journey took her across
a busy roundabout, countless roads, a metro rail line, a housing
estate, two school playing fields and hospital grounds.
The trail
finally ended when she waddled on to Barrasford Close in Gosforth,
Newcastle upon Tyne, where her chicks suddenly stopped.
And it
was there, standing over another man-hole cover, that the mother
remained for the next four hours until local residents heard chirping
coming from down below.
They in turn launched a rescue operation,
removing the manhole cover and using a child's fishing net to scoop all
six from the sewer one by one and reuniting them with their mother in a
paddling pool.
